Mute Swan :: Repeat Patterns

Mute Swan Surface Design PatternMute Swan Tiffany Blue
Surface design © Kim Buchheit; licensing and/or purchasing options available.
Swans really do mate for life — and during the mating dance they touch their breasts and beaks together to create a heart shape between themselves. The top design shows the moment just before they touch, and their "reflection" suggests a swan's watery home. Lower pic shows an alternate pattern and 2-color (tone-on-tone) colorway. Original drawing hand-carved.

Simply gorgeous! And a cute back story to boot. I can see your design looking fabulous on curtains, name it! Keep up the lovely work Kim.

Really cute and elegant story. I am new to be introduced to your blog but I find it very interesting that you draw inspiration from the detailing of nature !
