House & Ladders :: Repeat Pattern

Design © Kim Buchheit
I developed this pattern based on a 30" x 40" painting and subsequent linocut of mine (both below); and took the color palette from one of my older acrylics that just found its way home to me yesterday (orange painting below). In dream analysis, they say that the house represents the self; and, for me, the ladders represent time... past, present, and future.

Note: Matted linocut, hand-tinted with watercolor, available now in my Etsy shop.

P.S. Bunny B is the winner of the wrapping paper contest! Congrats, Bunny B – and thanks to all of you who entered.

Woohoo! I won! YAY! I love your wrapping paper designs -- they're all so adorable!

House drawings can really say a lot about a person, huh? Very interesting and FUN! :)

Neat! I love your linocut! The last time I did linocut was when I was 15! Love the repeat patterns too and the paintings!
